Job Title: Order Picker Operator
Job Description
The Order Picker Operator safely operates a cherry picker/order picker machine to support warehouse operations, including order picking, product put-away, and general material handling. This role involves frequent heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs, working at heights, and using RF scanning technology to ensure accurate and efficient inventory movement within a large distribution facility.
Responsibilities
- Operate the cherry picker/order picker machine safely and efficiently to complete daily warehouse tasks.
- Perform order picking to accurately select products based on pick lists and RF scanner instructions.
- Complete product put-aways by placing inventory in designated locations using the order picker equipment.
- Use RF scan guns to scan, track, and verify inventory movements and order accuracy.
- Handle heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs on a regular basis while following safe lifting practices.
- Work comfortably at heights while using fall protection equipment and following all safety procedures.
- Assist with general labor tasks such as inventory counts, organizing stock, and maintaining a clean work area.
- Follow warehouse processes and standards to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and safety in all tasks.
- Collaborate with other order pickers and forklift operators to meet team and shift productivity goals.
- Report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or inventory discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
Essential Skills
- Active Fall Protection ticket (online certification is acceptable).
- Experience operating an order picker machine (cherry picker) with either 1 year of experience or at least 6 months of recent experience.
- Order picking experience in a warehouse environment.
- Proven ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly.
- RF scanner experience, including RF scan gun operation and RF scanning for inventory and order processing.
- Warehouse experience performing inventory, picking, and general labor tasks.
- Comfort working at heights and using fall protection equipment.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and warehouse operating guidelines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience operating Raymond equipment (nice to have).
- Additional RF scanner experience beyond the minimum requirements.
- Previous experience in a large distribution or logistics environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and inventory handling.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team of order pickers and forklift operators.

Work Environment
The position follows an afternoon shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. You will work with warehouse equipment such as cherry pickers/order pickers, reach forklifts, and RF scan guns in a busy, team-oriented environment focused on efficient inventory movement and order fulfillment. The dress code is casual, with long pants required, along with steel-toe footwear and a safety vest for personal protection.
