Join our Product Design Leadership Team!

As a design leader in our Commerce unit, you will play a crucial role in guiding cross-functional product initiatives, ensuring that design decisions are user-centered, innovative, and aligned with business goals.

You’ll lead a talented team of designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, autonomy, and continuous improvement while contributing hands-on to ongoing UX projects.

More specifically, in commerce, this role covers both the merchandising and the shopping experience.

A glimpse at your day-to-day :

  • You'll lead a product design team that collaborates closely with product managers and engineers and that needs to deeply understand the problem space to make well-informed design decisions.
  • You'll champion user-centered design principles, embedding them in every phase of the product development process, from discovery through delivery.

Your guidance will drive the creation of cohesive, simple, and mature user experiences.

You'll lead user research initiatives, collaborate on creating discussion guides, early concepts, and prototypes, and encourage a fast iteration process based on user feedback.

You’ll also take an active role in facilitating discovery workshops and other design sessions.

You'll collaborate with our product leaders to drive the product roadmap, ensuring that design efforts align with the business goals.

You'll proactively identify key opportunities for innovation, helping to set the strategic direction for your team and ensuring that the most critical areas are prioritized.

You’ll manage a team of 2-3 designers, providing mentorship, guidance, and design reviews to elevate the quality of their work.

You'll foster a dynamic, engaging environment where team members can thrive.

What will qualify you for the role :

  • You have at least 7+ years of hands-on product design experience in technology, with extensive experience in leading and managing design teams, addressing complex design challenges, and contributing to all phases of the product life cycle.
  • You're a user advocate with a deep understanding of research methodologies, who can mentor designers and help them translate user needs and product insights into actionable design solutions.
  • You excel at working across multidisciplinary teams, navigating complex product environments, and ensuring that design efforts are aligned with broader business strategies.
  • You possess a robust online portfolio showcasing a diverse range of product design skills, with detailed case studies that demonstrate your leadership and impact.

What would make you stand out :

  • You have outstanding storytelling skills, able to articulate design decisions through compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • You’re skilled at planning and executing collaborative design workshops, leveraging design thinking, sprints, and other facilitation methods to drive successful outcomes.
  • You thrive in dynamic environments, leading teams across different time zones, and consistently seeking ways to improve and evolve the product.
