Job Description

As a Process Technologist, you will support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations by setting up and operating production equipment, mixing and dispensing powders, recording process data, and cleaning machinery and rooms in accordance with strict Good Manufacturing Practices. This role is physically active, requires consistent lifting of up to 40 lbs, and demands continuous adherence to safety protocols, including the use of safety glasses and safety shoes at all times.

Responsibilities

• Process and manufacture pharmaceutical products in accordance with written processing orders and batch records.
• Prepare manufacturing areas and equipment for the production of solid dose pharmaceutical products, ensuring readiness and cleanliness before use.
• Clean processing equipment and production rooms following written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Ensure product quality meets internal standards and applicable regulatory requirements from agencies such as HPFBI, FDA, and EMEA.
• Follow all Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and Good Manufacturing Practices requirements during every stage of production.
• Operate a centralized control panel with electronic or computerized systems to oversee and optimize physical and chemical processes across multiple processing units.
• Manage the initiation, shutdown, and troubleshooting of manufacturing processes to maintain efficient and stable operations.
• Collect product samples, conduct basic tests, record data, and apply statistical process control methods to monitor operations and maintain accurate production logs.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience in a GMP-regulated environment.
• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or production, particularly solid dose manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with production and processing equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs on a consistent basis.
• Proficiency in English reading and writing to follow SOPs, processing orders, and complete documentation.
• Experience with granulation, batch mixing, tableting, and related manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality assurance principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic manufacturing and process issues.
• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in weighing, dispensing, and documenting materials and processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MISSISSAUGA, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
