Job description

Exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer in a growing Brampton company with a strong North American presence!

If you have 4 or more years of experience in the manufacturing industry with strong knowledge of Catia conception, SolidWorks machine design, Engineering calculations and risk analysis this position would be for YOU!

We are currently looking for a Project Engineer. Reporting to the Operation Director, the Project Engineer will manage the plant's engineering projects. He / she will work closely with the company's various departments to design and implement projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Design innovative solutions using computer-aided design (CAD) tools;
  • Lead and manage projects;
  • Supervise internal resources and subcontractors assigned to projects;
  • Establish and update schedules;
  • Ensure compliance with budgets and quality of work;
  • Ensure equipment bidding;
  • Participate in the commissioning and configuration of the various equipment installed;
  • Organize launch, project follow-up and post-mortem meetings;
  • Support the other departments and act as a technical reference;
  • Prepare and update the documentation required for the proper operation of equipment;
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, laws and regulations.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant training;
  • Holder of an Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) license
  • Relevant experience in Health and Safety and in a manufacturing environment, an asset;
  • Knowledge of CAD software, preferably SolidWorks;
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Communication skills and team spirit;
  • Outstanding planning and design skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;
  • Available to travel between sites;
  • Available to manage projects in different sites (Greater Toronto);
  • A valid driver's license;
  • Valid passport
