Job Description

This role focuses on supporting machining operations by performing breakdown repairs and independently carrying out preventative maintenance on mills and lathes. You will work closely with machinists to keep production equipment running reliably and safely, while also assisting with material handling using forklifts and overhead cranes as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist machinists with equipment breakdowns by diagnosing issues and performing timely mechanical and electrical repairs on mills and lathes.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks independently on production machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Work on a variety of machining equipment, primarily mills and lathes, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.
• Use hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge to troubleshoot and repair related systems on production equipment.
• Interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings to install, align, and maintain mechanical components and assemblies.
• Perform mechanical and basic electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks on plant equipment.

Essential Skills

• Valid 433A Millwright license.
• At least 5+ years of millwrighting experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience with maintenance and repair of mills and lathes.
• Hands-on experience performing preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
• Proficiency with hydraulics, including troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• CNC maintenance experience.
• Additional electrical maintenance experience beyond basic skills.
• Previous experience in a machining or automotive-like manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose issues quickly under time pressure.
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with machinists and other team members.
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to preventative maintenance and documentation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $93600.00/yr.
