Responsibilities

  • Medication administration
  • Perform patient / client assessments.
  • Patient and family health teaching
  • Monitor, assess and document changes patient / client condition.
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to determine and implement patient care plan.
  • Additional opportunities as assigned by Nursing Supervisor

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses and must be in good standing.
  • Familiar with equipment including monitors, intravenous (IV) pumps, ventilators, feeding tubes.
  • Tracheostomy and ventilation care experience is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in community Nursing is considered an asset.
  • Current CPR / First Aid Certification
  • Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 3 months of hire)
  • Up-to-date immunization Records (MMR, TDAP, Varicella, Hep B, Covid 19)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow patient / client care plan.
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent patient service skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle is considered an asset.
