About the Core Program You will be part of the program that is the first stop for most families who come to CASA Mental Health.

CASA’s Core program serves children ages three to 17 and provides short-term, goal-directed mental health treatment for a wide range of concerns.

From Core, children, youth and families are able to step up or down into more appropriate levels of service if needed.

Job Details Wage range: $33.92 to $41.70 Shift structure: Monday to Friday, 7.25 hours per day Primary location: Edmonton, Fort Road Union: In-scope Classification: Therapy Support Navigator FTE: 1.0 Status : Temporary until January 2028 Hybrid/Multi-site About the Role Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Therapy Support Navigator works closely with assigned program area Mental Health Therapists (MHT) to support screening, case management, delivery of treatment and achievement of treatment plans.

The Therapy Support Navigator has an integral role within the therapy team to provide treatment extension, promote the uptake and application of skills within family and school settings.

The Therapy Support Navigator also facilitates child, adolescent and parent treatment groups under the supervision of the MHTs.

The Therapy Support Navigator will: Provide hands-on modelling and coaching to family members as determined by the MHT and guided by the treatment plan.

Complete weekly phone contacts with families as assigned to review treatment strategies and gather updates for the treatment team.

Engage in facility, school and/or home observations and prepare observation reports for MHTs.

Assist in group facilitation, set up and take down, observation and note taking as required in groups for patients and families.

Attend staff planning sessions, patient case conferences and client meetings to provide information surrounding community supports available upon discharge.

Complete relevant electronic medical record documentation.

Participate in the case management of assigned caseload.

Provide online presentations for Head Start staff to learn about CASA.

Distribute a monthly newsletter to Head Start site supervisors with information on CASA programs, groups, referral process and child development.

Foster face-to-face relationships with Head Start staff at referring sites through staff meetings and/or visiting classrooms monthly, especially in the beginning of the school year.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge and skills in behaviour management techniques.

Knowledge and awareness of community resources.

Excellent case management skills.

Strong critical thinking skills.

Demonstrated analytic and problem-solving ability.

Appreciation of interdisciplinary approach to mental health illness.

Ability to work and communicate in a cooperative, respective manner with all staff.

Demonstrated ability to adapt to new or unexpected situations, flexibility in approach to interpersonal situations.

Demonstrated computer skills (e.g.

Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in social work, child and youth care, early childhood education or a related discipline such as psychology, social sciences, etc.

Active registration under the Health Professions Act, if eligible.

Practical experience in a children’s mental health treatment setting.

Conditions of Employment A satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Intervention Check.

This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.

Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification (training provided by CASA) as well as physical ability to perform all interventions.

Working Conditions Va lid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
