Position : Commercial Applications Manager

Location : We are looking for a manager that would be located to our office in Vaudreuil-Dorion (QC)

We work in a hybrid model and require a presence of 2 days / week in office.

Status : Full-time, Permanent

Under the responsibility of the Chief Digital Officer, the Commercial Application Manager will be responsible for executing the commercial application and Salesforce strategy. This individual will be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle, from project / feature backlog prioritization, requirement engineering, and development oversight through testing, release, and support of commercial applications including but not limited to Salesforce. Acting as a liaison between business and technology, creative problem-solving, impeccable communication and attention to detail are key skills expected in this role.

What would be your main responsibilities as a Commercial Applications Manager?

Solutions Development and Process Enhancement :

  • Oversee the architecture and integration of Salesforce solutions and other commercial applications, ensuring smooth operation and data flow across all platforms.
  • Be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle, from project / feature backlog prioritization, requirement engineering, and development oversight through testing, release, and support.
  • Develop detailed business & functional requirements, including use cases, user stories, and wireframes.
  • Design solutions that include customization, integration, and automation to optimize business processes and deliver actionable insights.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for software development, security, and data management.
  • Work with the Chief Digital Officer and our Business Transformation Manager to develop the Salesforce and Digital Roadmap.
  • Manage the Salesforce roadmap and architecture, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy.
  • Handle Salesforce and other commercial application projects from conception to delivery, in collaboration with the Project Management team to ensure they are completed on time and aligned with business needs.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that Salesforce integrates fluidly with other enterprise applications.
  • Supervise integrations between Salesforce and other internal and external applications.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency and user experience in Salesforce and other business applications.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Salesforce releases and certifications, to ensure compliance and alignment with industry standards.

Team Management & Business Relationships :

  • Lead, coach and mentor a team of Salesforce Developers and Specialists, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Recognize and set regular objectives for the team and offer ongoing support.
  • Create an inspiring team environment with a culture of open communication and a pleasant working environment.
  • Collaborate with Digital Leadership team members to implement the project roadmap and strategy.
  • Build strong business relationships internally with various stakeholders to understand business needs, optimize processes and focus on customer service.
  • What are the requirements needed in order to have success in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant Salesforce certifications or other relevant certifications.
  • MBA or other business certificate an asset.
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in a similar leadership position with at least 5+ years of experience in Salesforce architecture and implementation.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and distribution business processes would be a strong asset
  • Proven ability to manage a team of Developers and Specialists.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS application integrations.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce development.
  • Knowledge of additional commercial applications like ERP or marketing automation platforms is a plus.
  • MuleSoft experience is an asset.
  • Previous experience working in a SCRUM or Agile environment preferred.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.
  • Demonstrate creative and analytical thinking, with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on user-centered design principles.
  • Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information in detail, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes.
  • Working Conditions :
