A premier, rapidly expanding Canadian manufacturer of high-volume building products is launching a brand-new, state-of-the-art production facility in Mississauga. We are seeking a hybrid Production Supervisor / Stationary Engineer to own the operations and technical health of a newly commissioned industrial utility and steam footprint.

This is a highly autonomous role split down the middle: you will spend approximately 2 to 4 hours per day managing, logging, and optimizing a brand-new, high-efficiency boiler system, while spending the remainder of your shift leading a lean, high-performing crew of 3 machine operators on the production floor. Reporting directly to an output-driven, supportive Plant Superintendent, you will have the freedom to build operational processes and preventive maintenance schedules from the ground up while directly impacting your earning potential through our quarterly efficiency bonus.

Responsibilities
Boiler Operations & Technical Management (2–4 Hours Daily)
System Ownership: Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot newly installed boiler and steam systems safely and efficiently in strict compliance with TSSA regulations.

Preventative Maintenance (PM): Build, implement, and execute daily, weekly, and seasonal PM logs (burners, feedwater loops, pumps, valves, and condensate lines).

Water Chemistry Control: Conduct regular boiler blowdowns, water sampling, and chemical analysis to maintain proper water loop balance.

Safety Compliance: Maintain meticulous operational logbooks, manage tool inventories, and champion plant safety standards including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and confined space entry.

Production Floor Leadership (4–5 Hours Daily)
Team Supervision: Direct, motivate, and coordinate a dedicated crew of 3 machine operators to ensure a safe, efficient, and clean floor environment.

Target Execution: Monitor production numbers, manage daily workflow priorities, and adjust machine parameters to hit scheduled operational goals.

Continuous Process Improvement: Partner with plant management to maximize steam efficiency relative to machine cycle times and overall throughput.

Qualifications
Valid TSSA Certification: Must hold a valid 4th Class or 3rd Class Stationary Engineer / Operating Engineer / Power Engineer Certificate issued by the TSSA. (Candidates without a valid ticket will not be considered).

Technical Aptitude: 3+ years of hands-on experience operating industrial steam boilers, auxiliary utilities, and fluid management system loops.

Leadership Mindset: Strong interpersonal skills with either direct supervisory experience or a demonstrated ability to train, coach, and guide a small production team.

Documentation Skills: Fully comfortable maintaining precise compliance logs, navigating P&ID schematics, and executing data entry into maintenance systems.

Urgency & Drive: A results-oriented professional who values efficiency and thrives in a clean, medium-paced manufacturing environment.
