A premier building materials manufacturer is launching a state-of-the-art facility in Mississauga, ON. We are hiring a Stationary Engineer – Production Shift Lead to own the operations and technical health of our newly commissioned industrial utility footprint.
This is a balanced hybrid role: you will spend 2–4 hours daily managing, logging, and optimizing a high-efficiency boiler system, and 4–5 hours daily leading a lean, high-performing crew of 3 machine operators on the floor.

ResponsibilitiesBoiler Operations & Utilities (2–4 Hours/Day)
-System Ownership: Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot newly installed steam boilers and auxiliary systems in full compliance with TSSA regulations.
-Maintenance & Water Chemistry: Execute daily/weekly PM logs (burners, feedwater loops, pumps) and conduct water sampling, blowdowns, and chemical balancing.
-Safety & Compliance: Maintain meticulous operational logbooks and enforce LOTO, hazard assessment, and confined space protocols.
Production Supervision (4–5 Hours/Day)
-Floor Leadership: Direct, mentor, and coordinate a crew of 3 machine operators to ensure a safe, efficient work environment.
-Target Execution: Monitor production output, prioritize daily workflows, and optimize steam efficiency relative to cycle times.
QualificationsMandatory Credentials & Experience:
-Valid TSSA Ticket: Must hold an active 4th Class or 3rd Class Stationary / Operating / Power Engineer Certificate issued by the TSSA. (Applicants without a valid ticket will not be considered).
-Industry Background: 3+ years in industrial manufacturing, processing plants, or heavy production environments.
-Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with industrial steam boilers, fluid management loops, and reading P&ID schematics.
Leadership & Work Style:
-Experience supervising, coaching, or leading small production teams.
-Strong ownership mindset with high attention to compliance and preventive maintenance.
