We are seeking candidates for the position of Collections Specialist for a 15 month contract located in our Head Office in Guelph, Ontario . Compensation: Starting at $44,500.00 annually Job Description As a Collections Specialist , you'll use your strong communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills to collaborate with customers and internal partners to resolve account concerns and reduce aging balances.

What we look for: Inbound and outbound calls from account holders and assisting in resolving their delinquent accounts, by means of payment arrangements in full, settlements as well as payment plans.
Contacts delinquent tenants through skip tracing techniques, by means of phone, email, or mail, with the purpose of requesting and collecting monies owing to Skyline.
Meet and exceed monthly performance targets.
Able to be proactive with good problem solving skills, judgment and innovation.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with an enthusiasm for working with the public.
Superior multi-tasking and organizational skills while remaining detail orientated.
Capable of operating under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Knowledge of residential property management and/or real estate is an asset.
Ensures the correct procedures are followed related to contraventions of the Rental Agreement, while following PIPEDA and the Collection and Debt Settlement Services Act.
Minimum 2 to 3 years post-secondary education; OR 2 years of relevant and equivalent workplace experience; OR Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
