On-Call Tactical Guard

In this role, what matters most is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk, and act quickly and professionally. Your strong observational skills, sound judgment, and ability to interact positively with others will be your greatest strengths.

This position is based within a correctional facility (prison detachment) , requiring strict adherence to institutional policies and security protocols. Despite being a primarily observational and supervisory role, this position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage high-responsibility environments such as detention areas, secure facilities, and other critical sites.

The role requires the ability to remain composed and professional in challenging environments, including occasions of verbal hostility. GardaWorld provides training and support to help employees safely manage difficult interactions.

This is an on-call position with no guaranteed hours. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule.

Responsibilities for Tactical Guard

Maintain the care, custody, and control of detainees in a secure detention environment

Qualifications for Tactical Guard

Clean criminal background and Vulnerable Sector Check

Ability to obtain and maintain Federal Reliability Security Clearance ( Have you lived in Canada for 5 years? )

Valid First Aid and CPR Level C

Physically capable of standing, walking and patrolling for extended periods
