Job Description
The Food & Beverage Assistant Manager of Fairmont Gold Lounge will ensure that employees provide phenomenal guest experiences resulting in lasting memories. They will lead, develop and coach a team of professional employees to enhance the level of service and meet standards.
Food & Beverage Overview : Our mission is to make Food & Beverage the heart and soul of all of our hotels by creating a free standing food & beverage mentality in our hotels that is relevant, profitable and exciting; connecting us, our guests, and the community together.
Job Duties Include :
- Provide on-the-floor supervision and support to employees and coach and develop them to ensure standards are being maintained
- Be involved with ongoing menu / wine / cocktail development
- Have a good understanding of day-to-day expectations, tasks and operations as well as forethought to upcoming events
- Review guest comments, respond to any concerns in a timely and professional fashion
- Understand both the restaurant’s and the hotel’s financial goals to achieve superior long-term financial returns to our shareholders
- Ensure that service essentials, steps of service and brand standards are being followed by the team
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Your Skills & Qualifications :
Must have 1 year previous experience as a Leader in Food & Beverage; preferably in upscale environment. airlines VIP lounge or executive lounge experience will be considered an assetMust have pro-serve certification and POS system experienceWine knowledge at or above WSET Level 2 an assetDiploma or Degree in Hospitality / Hotel Administration an assetA passion for food & wineSchedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidaysMust be able to lift and carry up to 20+lbs and able to constantly stand and walk throughout shiftAdditional Information
