Senior Project Manager

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead strategic IT projects for a major financial institution. You will manage large, complex initiatives from planning to operations, using Agile or hybrid approaches, while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of senior project management experience, strong business acumen, and a proven ability to work with stakeholders across multiple teams. PMP or SCRUM Master certification, experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure, and French language skills are assets.

*** 3 days a month on-site in Ottawa, the rest of the month is remote ***

*** 18 month contract to start ***

*** Full Time contract, 37.5 hours a week ***

Responsibilities
•Manage IT projects from planning through implementation and transition to operations.
•Develop project plans, prioritize work, and ensure resources are effectively used.
•Oversee project risks, issues, and interdependencies while delivering on scope, quality, and timelines.
•Prepare and present status reports, proposals, and risk logs to senior leadership.
•Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and resolve project-related challenges.
•Handle unplanned activities, re-planning, and recalibration as needed.
•Ensure all deliverables and documentation are completed.
•Work independently with limited support from senior management.

Qualifications
Required:

•University degree or college diploma in computer science, engineering, or business administration.
•10+ years of senior project management experience overseeing large, complex projects with 40+ resources over multiple years.
•5+ years using Agile or hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) methodologies.
•Strong business acumen and ability to translate business needs into project objectives.
•Excellent written and verbal communication for both technical and leadership audiences.
•Proven facilitation and problem-resolution skills.

Preferred / Additional:

•PMP or SCRUM Master certification.
•Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure Cloud solutions.
•Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
•French language skills considered an asset.
