Scope of the position

The Wire Cutter is responsible for cutting, packing, and shipping wire and cable spools promptly while adhering to safety standards. A primary function of this role is to spool and cut wire and cable of various sizes and weights.

Responsibilities:

• Wrap, tie, and place material on reels
• Sort and place materials on racks
• Use and adjust machinery to measure lengths of wire to meet customer specifications
• Feed and thread wire and cable through machinery
• Complete pre-start safety inspection before using any machinery or equipment
• Responsible for carrying out any other duties assigned by the Operations Manager.
• Record count and length information on tags or boxes

Skills and Qualifications:

• 1-3 years experience working in a warehouse environment
• Perform basic mathematical calculations to complete assigned tasks
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Wire Cutting experience is considered an asset
