Our client is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join a busy Oil & Gas team in Calgary on a long-term contract. This role supports high-volume credit requests, customer onboarding, order reviews, and credit decisions while working closely with finance, collections, invoicing, and sales teams.
Responsibilities:
• Review credit requests and sales orders, processing routine files and escalating higher-value approvals as required.
• Manage a shared credit mailbox, prioritize requests, and maintain timely follow-up on outstanding items.
• Assess customer creditworthiness using credit reports, references, monitoring tools, and financial information.
• Set up new customer accounts and maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Collaborate with invoicing, collections, master data, and sales teams to gather information and resolve account issues.
• Maintain tracking documents for credit activity, approvals, and account details.
• Use Excel and other tools to organize data and support daily credit analysis.
• Communicate credit decisions, escalations, and rationale clearly to internal stakeholders.
• Support the transition of credit reference and customer data management activities into the role.
