This Accounts Receivable (A/R) position is an opportunity to grow with a thriving company. This dynamic organization has an Accounts Receivable position with a noteworthy benefits package, available through Robert Half. As the permanent Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will work in the Mississauga, Ontario region. If you are good at entering, posting and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging reports, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, and updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, this role might be right for you.
Responsibilities
- Process payments and assemble segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
- Reply to information requests from stake holders, including shippers, customers, and the sales/marketing department
- Carry out general accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures
- Enter and balance financial data in a number of ledgers while reconciling bank accounts
- Maintain, relate, and promote the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Contact clients to settle payment issues and establish payment plans as required
- Ensure accuracy of documents and codes
Job Requirements:
- Detailed and have the ability work independently
- 1+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
- Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
- Current and relevant ERP system experience
