Job Title: MillwrightJob DescriptionJoin our dynamic maintenance team as a Millwright, where you will be instrumental in maintaining and repairing a variety of industrial equipment within a heavy industrial environment. You will work with overhead cranes, gas furnaces, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, gear reducers, and conveyors, ensuring the smooth operation of our expansive facility.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance and repair tasks on overhead cranes, gas furnaces, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, gear reducers, and conveyors.
- Follow a preventative maintenance schedule, focusing on mechanical PM, repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct minor welding tasks as needed.
- Complete paperwork for certain projects, including project codes and parts used.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team, ensuring effective day-to-day operations.
- Adapt to various shifts, filling in during vacation periods as required.
Essential Skills- Red Seal Millwright certification.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a heavy industrial environment.
- Proficiency in repairing overhead cranes, gas furnaces, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, gear reducers, and conveyors.
- Ability to bring and utilize personal basic tools.
- Willingness to work in industrial conditions, including greasy, dirty, and sometimes hot areas.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- 5+ years experience in a heavy industrial environment.
- Experience in steel manufacturing.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others.
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.

Work EnvironmentWork primarily indoors in a dusty, greasy, and grimy facility, with a cleaner and organized maintenance shop. Report to the maintenance manager and maintenance charge hand, coordinating day-to-day operations. Shifts are currently Monday to Friday, with potential for Sunday to Thursday shifts based on seniority. PPE is provided, and the facility fosters a close-knit team culture with monthly BBQs. Candidates must be flexible with shift assignments and willing to fill in as needed.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, BC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.90 - $45.90/hr.
