Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Millwright in a heavy industrial environment focused on the production of diverse wire products. You will be part of a skilled maintenance team, maintaining and repairing crucial equipment such as overhead cranes, gas furnaces, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, gear reducers, and conveyors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair overhead cranes, gas furnaces, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, gear reducers, and conveyors.
• Follow a preventative maintenance schedule and perform mechanical repairs and troubleshooting.
• Complete necessary paperwork for projects, including documenting project codes and parts used.
• Perform minor welding tasks as required.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.

Essential Skills

• Possession of a Red Seal Millwright certification or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a heavy industrial environment.
• Proficiency in repairing overhead cranes, gas furnaces, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, gear reducers, and conveyors.
• Capability to work in industrial conditions, including greasy and dirty areas with occasional heat exposure.
• Ability to bring and use own basic tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferably 5+ years of experience in a heavy industrial environment.
• Experience in steel manufacturing.
• Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to learn and develop.

Work Environment

Work in a large, diverse industrial facility, where the maintenance shop is clean and organized. The environment can be dusty, greasy, and grimy, but all necessary PPE is provided. The job is primarily indoors, adhering to a Monday to Friday schedule, with the possibility of shift changes based on seniority. The position involves filling in on different shifts as needed and offers a supportive team culture.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $46.82 - $46.82/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Richmond,BC.
