We are looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will contribute to the organization’s financial operations by ensuring accurate and efficient accounting practices. This position provides an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in accounting systems and processes within a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review financial statements while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Conduct reconciliations of accounts to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline and enhance financial operations.
• Support auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and resolving inquiries.
• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting workflows and efficiency.
• Assist in implementing best practices for financial reporting and operational procedures.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Proven experience in accounting functions, including accounts payable and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems such as CaseWare, Concur, and ADP.
• Strong knowledge of auditing processes and financial statement preparation.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining data integrity.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
• Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field.
