We are a family in Salmon Arm, BC, looking for a reliable, caring nanny to help with our two children in our home, with a preferred start date in early to mid-October. We have an infant and a primary school-aged child, although our school-aged child will be at school for most of the day, so the majority of the daytime care will be for our infant. I work shift work in healthcare, so the schedule may vary depending on my shifts. Ideally, we are looking for someone flexible who is available for a mix of daytime, evening, and occasional overnight care as needed. Overnight care would be rare, but having someone who is open to it would be a huge help. Responsibilities would include caring for our infant during the day, school drop-off and pick-up for our older child when needed, preparing simple meals and snacks for the children, helping with their daily routines, and keeping them engaged and comfortable while I am working. Light household duties would also be appreciated, mainly just keeping up with the everyday messes that come with the kids, tidying toys and play areas, wiping down after meals, loading or unloading the dishwasher, and generally helping keep things manageable throughout the day. We also have a dog, so you must be comfortable around pets and able to provide basic pet care while you are in the home. Most importantly, we are looking for someone dependable, patient, warm, and comfortable becoming a consistent person in our children’s lives. A current CPR certification and a clear criminal record/background check are required. Previous experience caring for infants and school-aged children is strongly preferred.
