As a member of the Test Department, you will be part of the manufacturing group that ensures proper functionality of our products.
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of Test and Quality Control Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and support IP-based broadcast, telecommunications and computer network systems including routers, fiber transmission systems, SDVN and multiviewer platforms Inspect hardware to component level, ensuring product complies to latest build sheets and assembly drawings Test and validate that hardware meets all operational requirements by completing defined test and quality control procedures Install, configure and verify firmware, operating systems, software applications, network settings and licensing required for product operation and customer deployment Setup and operate specialized test diagnostic tools and monitoring equipment, including video waveform monitors, audio analyzers, network traffic monitors, oscilloscopes and digital multi-meters Diagnose hardware, software and network-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to restore system functionality.
Provide technical support and problem-solving assistance within and external to the Test department regarding hardware, software and networking systems Provide training to team members within and external to the Test department as required Build, operate and update test jigs Participate in on-time delivery of quality products for Evertz customers Report status of daily test assignments to Test Coordinators Compliance with all Evertz Policies and Procedures Other related duties and responsibilities as required Qualifications: Electronics / Computer Engineering Diploma Experience in electronics testing and troubleshooting is an asset Familiar with troubleshooting techniques and the ability to read technical drawings and schematics Strong manual dexterity and experience working with test measuring tools Ability to diagnose and correct root causes of equipment and product/process related failures Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving ability, and time management skills Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment What we Offer: Employer funded benefits program Competitive total compensation package Work-life balance Employee Assistance plan Employee Discount Platform Career progression Casual work environment Social events and sports teams Location: Burlington, Ontario (in-office position) Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours.
