Job description
For more than 70 years, Border Paving Ltd. has played a key role in building and maintaining Alberta's infrastructure. The Night Security position is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of Border Paving Ltd.'s facilities, equipment and property after hours. We are looking for a dependable and observant individual who is comfortable working independently and able to respond calmly and professionally to unexpected situations.Job ResponsibilitiesConduct regular patrols of the yards, buildings and equipment storage areasMonitor for unauthorized access, suspicious activity and safety concernsSecure gates, buildings, and equipment as requiredRespond promptly to security incidents or emergencies and notify management as requiredMaintain accurate logs of nightly activity and report any concernsWork with law enforcement or emergency services when requiredPerform other duties to support site securityQualificationsPrevious security or related experience is an assetAbility to work independently and use sound judgementStrong observation and reporting skillsDependable, punctual with a commitment to safetyValid Class 5 Driver's LicenseWhat We OfferCompetitive wages based on experienceBenefitsProfit sharingCompany Share Ownership ProgramOngoing training and developmentOpportunities for advancementSteady work during the construction seasonMany of our leaders started in field or entry level roles and we believe strongly in promoting from within.
