JOB SYNOPSIS:
Under the direction and supervision of the Outdoor Guest Services Supervisor, the Outdoor Guest Services Representative will provide support and teamwork to the Outdoor Guest Services Department. As an Outdoor Guest Services Representative, your primary responsibility is to provide exceptional
customer service and support to guests visiting the resort.. You will be the front-line ambassador for the resort, ensuring that visitors have a memorable and enjoyable experience. The role is often the first point of contact for guests arriving at our resort or accessing the lifts; therefore, guest experience is at the forefront. Many aspects of this role contribute to a safe and friendly experience from the onset.
Key areas of responsibility include base area operations: traffic flow management, base area risk management, lift ticket validation, resort events, and assisting the mountain safety team as well as other departments as required. You will be expected to be familiar with resort terrain and all safety procedures
plus a knowledge expert on Whitewater’s events, and services. This role requires a passion for the outdoors and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a Brand Ambassador of Whitewater Mountain Resort.
- Promote Whitewater’s safety culture.
- Assist in achievement of department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to achieve organizational goals.
- Embrace, promote and follow Whitewater’s mission statement and values.
- Ensure all guests receive outstanding service and assistance throughout their visit to the ski resort. Ie: inquiries about the resort facilities, ski/snowboard trails, events, and other related information.
- Act as a point of contact for guest concerns or complaints, addressing them promptly and professionally, or escalating to a supervisor when necessary.
- Keep updated on current weather conditions, trail status, and any changes in resort policies to provide accurate and up-to-date information to guests.
- Risk management and mitigation around the lodge and base area buildings
- Attend daily morning meetings to learn updates, address concerns, objectives for the day, and foster a positive working environment.
- Complete daily Base Area assignments: traffic management, lift ticket validation, and snow removal.
- Collaborate with ski patrol and other staff members in responding to on-mountain incidents or emergencies.
- Assist in executing special events, competitions, and promotions within the resort.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Outdoor ski resort experience an asset.
- Class 4 drivers license is an asset.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Be committed to ensuring the highest level of guest service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm for winter sports and outdoor activities, especially skiing and snowboarding.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of the resort's layout, ski trails, and surrounding area is advantageous.
- Basic computer skills for ticket sales and record-keeping purposes.
- Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
