Job description
An established manufacturing leader has a permanent, full-time opportunity for you to advance your career in the welding trade. Located in Stratford, this manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced Welder to join their production team. Earn between $27.63 and $34.53 per hour, plus a shift premium, while enjoying outstanding perks like a quarterly attendance bonus, an RRSP plan, and three weeks of vacation as a direct hire.

Advantages

- Choose from a day shift or afternoon shift and benefit from a consistent Monday to Friday 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. or Monday to Thursday 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. schedule.
- Benefit from an extra $1.00 per hour shift premium when working the consistent afternoon schedule.

Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on heavy plate steel for mining machinery and defense vehicles.
- (For the top-pay band only) Execute Flux Core welding and weld specialized aluminum materials according to production needs.
- Interpret complex layout drawings to verify all prefabricated sub-assemblies match structural criteria.
- Conduct visual inspections of finished weldments and grind components in the Stratford fabrication shop.

Qualifications
- Bring a minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience as a Welder in the manufacturing sector.
- Demonstrate proficient blueprint reading abilities and high-level structural fitting capabilities.
- Hold or have the capacity to successfully pass a practical MIG CWB flat test on-site.
- Consent to a mandatory background (Criminal Record) check required for handling specialized controlled manufacturing goods.
