Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our Medical Laboratory Department at Penticton Regional Hospital in Penticton, BC. About the Job
Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) is a referral centre for the South Okanagan. Our emergency department sees upwards of 40k visits, and we have 172 acute beds and 102 extended care beds and offer a full range of health services to the community. The successful applicant will be primarily located at the Penticton Regional Hospital and will be required to work shifts and cover collections at the nearby Summerland Health Centre. An unrestricted class 5 drivers license is a requirement of this position.


Medical Laboratory Assistants perform a variety of duties such as taking blood and receiving samples from patients, preparing blood and other specimens for analysis, distributing specimens to departments and referral Labs, entering data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and performing related clerical duties and ECG testing as required.

This is a Relief Part Time (0.79) opportunity until the return of the incumbent.
Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating days, evenings and nights.
