Job description
Maintenance Supervisor (Industrial Electrician – 442A / 309A)

Shift: Straight Day Shift (Monday – Friday; with required availability for late hours, weekends, or on-call support as production demands)

Hourly Rate: $50.00 – $52.00 / hour + Overtime + Attractive Quarterly Efficiency Bonus

Location: Mississauga, ON (South/West Area – In-Person)

Category: Industrial Manufacturing & Automation

Opportunity Overview
Are you a powerhouse Industrial Electrician who thrives at the intersection of advanced automation troubleshooting and team leadership?

A premier, rapidly expanding Canadian manufacturer of high-volume building products is launching a brand-new, state-of-the-art production facility in Mississauga. We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to anchor their technical team on a highly coveted straight day shift.

In this role, you will report directly to the Plant Manager, driving operational efficiency across advanced production lines (including high-volume extrusion, foam processing lines, automated wrappers, and CNC equipment). If you are looking for a high-autonomy environment where you can build processes from the ground up, maximize line efficiencies, and directly impact your earning potential through an aggressive quarterly bonus structure, this is your next career move.

Advantages
Premium Hourly Pay: Highly competitive base rate of $50.00 – $52.00 per hour plus overtime opportunities.

Financial Upside: An attractive quarterly bonus tied directly to production line efficiency—your speed and expertise are financially rewarded.

Highly Coveted Shift: Enjoy the stability of a straight day shift (Mon-Fri), giving you your regular evenings back.

Brand-New Infrastructure: Work in a clean, modern facility with brand-new, cutting-edge equipment, high-end automation, and newly upgraded industrial utility systems.

High Autonomy: Grow under an output-driven leadership style. The management team trusts their technical experts to run the process without micromanagement.

Comprehensive Benefits: Full health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement/RRSP matching programs, company events, and paid time off.

Responsibilities
Automation & Electrical Troubleshooting: Serve as the internal expert for daily breakdown management. Diagnose, test, and repair complex electrical issues (motors, sensors, circuits, VFDs) and heavy machinery with minimal supervision.

PLC System Ownership: Utilize advanced PLC troubleshooting skills (specifically RSLogix 5, 500, and 5000) to keep high-volume automated lines running at peak performance.

PM Design & Scheduling: Manage and execute the preventative maintenance (PM) schedule for complex equipment including conveyors, palletizers, wrappers, and CNC machinery using CMMS tools.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the production team and the Plant Manager. Create, track, and lead daily and weekly downtime review meetings to continuously improve line efficiency.

Vendor & Project Management: Coordinate with external contractors, technical service providers, and parts suppliers. Maintain a healthy, cost-effective spare parts inventory.

Health, Safety & Culture: Maintain an absolutely flawless safety record. Ensure full facility compliance with WSIB and Ministry of Labour (MOL) regulations while actively mentoring and training junior team members.

Qualifications
Valid Ontario Trade License: A valid 442A (Industrial Electrician) or 309A (Construction & Maintenance) license is mandatory. Dual tickets or additional licenses (433A Millwright, G2 Gas Fitter) are considered massive assets.

Proven Experience: Minimum 8+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing/plant environment, with at least 3+ years in a dedicated leadership or supervisory role. (Candidates with less than 5 years of experience will not be considered).

Expert-Level PLC & Automation Skills: Hands-on, thorough troubleshooting knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC platforms (RSLogix 5/500/5000) is a firm requirement.

Strong Mechanical Aptitude: Deep understanding of industrial mechanical components (bearings, rollers, pneumatics, hydraulics, gear motors, and drives).

Technical Literacy: Fully proficient in reading blueprints, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and using Microsoft Office/inventory internet tools.

Mindset: A strong sense of urgency, excellent communication/conflict-resolution skills, and a results-driven attitude focused on continuous improvement.

Physical Capability: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and safely navigate a medium-paced industrial environment.

Summary
