Job description
CUPE 1165-2 (Custodial/Maintenance) Casual Custodians Effective Immediately Open to All Location: North Region - North Bay, ON and surrounding areas Sites Alliance Public School - North Bay, ON Board Office - North Bay, ON Chippewa Intermediate and Secondary School - North Bay, ON F.J. McElligott Secondary School - Mattawa, ON Ferris Glen Public School - Corbeil, ON Laurentian Learning Centre - North Bay, ON Maple View Public School - North Bay, ON Mattawa District Public School - Mattawa, ON M.T. Davidson Public School - Callander, ON Northern Secondary School - Sturgeon Falls, ON Phelps Central Public School - Redbridge, ON Silver Birches Public School - North Bay, ON Sunset Park Public School - North Bay, ON West Ferris Intermediate and Secondary School - North Bay, ON White Woods Public School - Sturgeon Falls, ON Woodland Public School - North Bay, ON Vincent Massey Public School - North Bay, ON Summary: To ensure that the areas of the physical buildings and grounds of the facility are maintained in a condition of operating excellence, safety and cleanliness. Requirements: Perform duties and responsibilities on a day-to-day basis, as assigned, to ensure a clean, safe and healthy environment. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Basic building maintenance (e.g. changing light bulbs, changing filters, etc.) Grounds maintenance (e.g. grass cutting, snow shoveling, etc.) Waste removal Dust control Glass and mirror cleaning Sweeping Mopping Scrubbing Vacuuming Stripping and refinishing floors Replenishing and maintaining an inventory of custodial supplies Sterilizing and sanitizing fixtures and surfaces Other related duties as assigned by your Facility Supervisor, Lead Custodian, Principal and/or designate. Qualifications: Secondary School Diploma or equivalent Previous experience in building and grounds maintenance or custodial services would be considered an asset. Hours of Work: Shifts vary between 6:30 AM to 11:30 PM and by site. Hours are on a call out basis and are not guaranteed. Rate of Pay: $21.78/hour Interested Candidates: Please submit an updated resume and cover letter.
