Trade Support Associate

Our client, a Top 5 Canadian Bank, is seeking an Analyst, Trade Support (Swaps) for a 12-month contract. This role provides daily support to the trading desk with a focus on swaps operations (equity, fixed income, and interest rate swaps), with equity swaps preferred.
This is a highly technical role, requiring strong coding and automation skills alongside solid product knowledge. You will work closely with traders, providing real-time support on the swaps book while helping to improve and automate processes.
***This role is hybrid requiring you to work 2 days/week in office
The Key Responsibilities include the following;
- Support daily trade activity across swaps products
- Reconcile and validate trades; manage allocations and execution
- Provide real-time support to traders on the swaps book
- Build and enhance automation tools (Excel/VBA/Python)
- Troubleshoot and improve existing processes
To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications;
- 2-7 years in capital markets operations (trade support, product control, etc.)
- Strong swaps knowledge (equity swaps preferred)
- Strong technical skills: VBA (must), Python (must), Power Automate (nice-to-have)
- Advanced Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
- Strong communication skills; comfortable working with front office
