Position Overview

The Forklift Operator supports the Supply Chain team by performing various yard and logistics tasks, including loading, unloading, and organizing pipe and other materials.
You’ll ensure all inventory is handled safely, efficiently, and accurately while supporting the movement of goods according to customer and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with yard labourers to load and unload tubular pipes onto trucks

• Offload incoming tubular products from railcars and clear debris

• Assist truck and delivery drivers with safe and efficient loading/unloading

• Perform material handling duties such as counting, sorting, packing, and unpacking

• Ensure all product quality meets company and customer standards

• Meet daily productivity and efficiency targets

• Report and assist with equipment maintenance issues

• Support general yard and warehouse clean-up, maintenance, and administrative duties

Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of forklift experience handling tubular products or similar industrial materials

• Proven experience operating gas, diesel, or electric forklifts up to 30,000 lbs

• Experience in pipe/casing operations and inventory control required

• Comfortable working with heights

• Clean driver’s abstract and ability to pass a criminal record, drug, and alcohol screening

Skills & Attributes:

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift

• Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

• Reliable, punctual, and willing to work overtime, on-call, or weekends as needed

• Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills
