Orangetheory Fitness combines full-body strength training with heart-pumping cardio to help you build strength now, while laying the foundation for long-term health. We are looking for positive, friendly, and experienced fitness professionals to join our OTF Waterloo community as a Group Fitness Coach!

This position is way more than just teaching a class. You are a motivator, a challenger, and the ultimate professional, always looking to engage further with members and help them reach their fitness goals. You love correcting form and technique, and providing ample direction on the weight room floor. You are extremely passionate about fitness, work out regularly yourself, and are excited to participate in the OTF workouts because it will make you a better Coach. As a motivated individual, you seek out opportunities to learn more about our studio and processes so that you can be the best version of you. We have fun with what we do so you like participating in events and getting out into the community.

Here is more of what the role entails:

• Leading and motivating members through pre-designed workouts
• Working in a fast-paced group fitness setting
• Multitasking to ensure that all class participants have a high-quality experience
• Helping members set and achieve goals
• Working hand-in-hand with the sales team to guide interested consumers, also known as intros, through their first Orangetheory workout
• Ensuring members are using the correct form and offering corrections if they aren’t
• Understanding the science behind our workouts specifically, heart-rate focused training programs in general, and being aware of what the competition is doing
• Knowing how to use and demonstrate usage for every piece of equipment utilized in every workout
• Being a team player

This position will involve 8-12+ hours a week of coaching. Group Fitness and/or Personal Training certification along with CPR/AED/First Aid are a must to be considered for this role.
