Job description

Duties:
Clerk 3 Administrative Stream duties will vary depending on the position. Duties may include:

• Assessing, processing, and completing applications
• Preparing statistical data or performing specialized tasks which require independent research and compilation
• Preparing, checking, and completing payrolls
• Data entry
• Maintaining physical and electronic records

Clerk 3 Financial Stream duties will vary depending on the position. Duties may include:

• Processing invoices and financial documents
• Preparing invoices for payment
• Compiling and reconciling financial reports and statistical information for completeness
• Maintaining financial records, invoices, and expense claims
• Data entry

  • Experience performing clerical and administrative duties in an office environment, such as data entry, preparing specialized or highly complex documents, processing detailed documentation, and manual and electronic file maintenance.
  • Experience performing accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations (required for financial clerk positions only).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads and effectively manage deadlines.
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
  • Experience interpreting and applying policies and/or procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate effective working relationships with colleagues, other departments, and a variety of partners.
  • Effective verbal communication skills to clearly and professionally communicate with internal and external partners.
  • Effective written communication skills, with experience drafting and editing correspondence or other communications.
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) or similar software applications.
Desired:
  • Experience working with the public in front-line, customer service-oriented environment. (e.g. serving the public in person).
  • Experience working with SAP (Financial Module) or an equivalent financial management software.
  • Ability to read, write and verbally communicate fluently in French.
