We are looking for a Revenue Audit Specialist to join a transport organization in Toronto, Ontario on a Long-term Contract basis. In this role, you will help safeguard the accuracy and completeness of revenue records by reviewing transaction activity, investigating variances, and supporting reliable financial reporting. This position works closely with revenue, finance, operations, and technical teams to strengthen controls, resolve issues, and maintain confidence in high-volume payment and revenue data.
Responsibilities:
• Review daily revenue feeds and assess account activity to confirm transaction data is complete, accurate, and properly reflected in financial records.
• Analyze control accounts and perform detailed matching between source transactions, payment records, and ledger entries to identify irregularities and exceptions.
• Investigate unreconciled items and reporting differences, determine underlying causes, and coordinate with internal teams or external partners to resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain clear audit support files, discrepancy logs, and working papers to document findings, trends, and escalation items.
• Contribute to strong internal controls by following established revenue procedures and recommending improvements that reduce risk and improve reporting quality.
• Support high-volume reconciliations for revenue and payments, including variance analysis, journal entry preparation, and posting adjustments when needed.
• Prepare recurring monthly reporting on revenue results and transaction volumes, and assist with the development of meaningful performance metrics.
• Provide support during internal and external audit activities by supplying schedules, explanations, and documentation for assigned revenue areas.
• Assist with testing related to system enhancements, interface updates, and equipment changes affecting revenue capture and reporting.
• Offer administrative and cross-functional support to other finance team members when coverage is required.
