Operator - Edson
On behalf of our client Procom is looking for an Operator - Edsons for a 12 month contact.
Operator - Edson
Responsibilities:
• Support and comply with the policies, goals, efforts, and programs of CVE's Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System
• Ensure HSE issues are given primary consideration in all activities undertaken within area of responsibility. Models and coaches on behaviors to help a safety culture in which unsafe acts and/or conditions, no matter in what area of responsibility, are to be reported so corrective actions can be taken
• Understand and perform safety, environmental and regulatory responsibilities such as hazard identification, equipment lockout, emergency response and implement safe work procedures
• Promotes a culture where setting goals, achieving and measuring results is expected
• Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Must be able to operate and troubleshoot Pump jacks and have knowledge of pump off controllers (POC’s)
• Maintain books for accounting.
• Look for ways to improve efficiency’s by entering PACO ideas
• Support and champion the MOC (Management of Change) system• Perform housekeeping, performance monitoring and maintenance activities Operator - Edson Must Have Skills
• Minimum 3 – 10 years’ experience in oil and gas operating
• This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to the relevant requirements of the client Alcohol and Drug policy which includes pre-assignment testing
• Strong field/plant operating background
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License (drivers abstract is required)
• Utilize computer programs without assistance (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Maximo)
• Must have plunger lift experience
• Must have strong troubleshooting skills
• Legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis without restrictions
Preferred Qualifications
• Valid and updated safety tickets (First Aid, CPR, TDG, WHMIS and H2S certifications)
• Preference for 4th class power engineering or a Fired Process Heater Operator ticket
• Strong team player
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
