Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a Full-time Teaching Position (1.0 FTE) at Mayerthorpe Jr/Sr High School.Successful Candidate Responsibilities:Teaching Junior/Senior High Math, Physical Education and Athletic DirectorThe successful candidate must: Have classroom practice that is focused on:a student-centered and responsive instruction that ensures engagement and understanding and nurtures teacher-student relationships deepening students' numeracy and literacy skillsthe application of a variety of technologies to support learning for all studentsassessment for/of learning that will support students' growth and achievementthe domains of the NGPS Quality Learning Environment (QLE)collegial collaboration, support and interventiondiversity and broadening students' knowledge of First Nation, Metis and Inuit foundational knowledge positive and collaborative relationships and communication with parentshave effective organizational and classroom management skillsHave school practice that is focused on:working with school administration to support the School Action Plan a commitment to student achievement and success through the Collaborative Team Meeting (CTM) processworking with school administration to enhance staff wellness and school cultureoutstanding communication and interpersonal skillshave a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate Start Date:Duties will commence August 25, 2026.
