Purpose of the position

Le Livélia, a warm residence for the elderly, by Cogir Immobilier, is looking for a colleague to join its dedicated team as an auxiliary nurse.The auxiliary nursing team administers the medication and ensures that residents' files are updated in the computer tool. They respond to emergencies and work closely with the care team and other departments (kitchen, dining room, maintenance, reception, etc.) Temporary position, Monday and Wednesday evenings. Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the day. Every other weekend. *** HIRING BONUS OF $1000 *** Specifically, your daily life with us will look like :
  • Administer medication according to safety principles and the code of ethics
  • Ensure the follow-up of the medical file as well as the prescriptions at the request of the doctor or pharmacist
  • Ensure good communication as well as medical follow-ups with the actors concerned
  • Notify the nurse and/or the person in charge of health services of any changes observed in the state of health of the residents
  • Collaborate in maintaining the bond of trust with the families or loved ones of the residents as well as with the various stakeholders (CLSC, CSSS, etc.)
  • Record notes in residents' files in accordance with the requirements of the Order of Nurses and Auxiliary Nurses of Quebec (OIIAQ) and keep them rigorously up to date
  • Follow up on residents' medical files and prescriptions at the request of the doctor, pharmacist or CISSS

Required qualifications :

  • Collect degree in nursing (DEC) or a proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing
  • Member of the OIIAQ
  • Ease in the use of computer tools
  • Good team player
  • Good sense of interpersonal communication
