On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Program Manager - Infrastructure for a 12 month contract in Calgary or Vancouver.

Program Manager - Infrastructure Job Details
Our Client needs to replace near-end-of-life systems for end-users, collaboration, facilities, servers, hosting, networking and telecommunications for all of its locations around the world.The PgM is expected to deliver all assigned programs, projects and products with value, on time, on budget, on plan, and with a high level of quality. The PgM will be required to manage and supervise resources that have been assigned ‘dotted line’ to the respective projects as well. The PgM is responsible for the following activities:

• Ensuring that a Project Lifecycle (from Initiation to Closure) is completed in adherence to TDS & PMO policies and frameworks as defined in and in compliance with the TDS PMO standards (which includes Agile practices);
• Managing the programs from initiation to closure with a committed goal of delivering on time, on budget, scope complete with a high level of quality and business satisfaction;
• Senior stakeholder engagement at Director and VP levels within the function and the Business
• Overseeing and developing team members working on the program and those on the underlying projects;
• Recruiting (selecting) or contracting staff to be assigned to the Program(s) (employees or contractors)
• Working with Operations and Departmental managers to request and obtain required resources
• Coordinating all funds spent in relation to the program(s), this includes maintaining an overall current view of budget, actuals and forecast numbers;
• Providing transparency into program health through published schedules, regular status reporting, and current budget and forecasts;
• Managing and documenting any scope changes impacting schedule, budget or quality;
• Managing program financials;
• Acting as a mediator between program collaborators and the program team(s);
• Identifying, resolving and escalating any issues and risks as required;
• Vendor and Contract Management

Program Manager - Infrastructure Responsibilities

• Managing experienced and junior Project Management (contract) staff
• Manage complex distributed supply chains

Program Manager - Infrastructure Must Have Skills

• 10+ years leading IT projects in a large complex corporate environment,
• Previous experience in IT Lifecycle Management or IT Asset Management
• Solid planning & resourcing skills
• Experience applying Agile in Infrastructure Projects
• 10+ years in a Project Manager role leading project teams
• Skilled in the use of Project & Portfolio Management tools and methodologies
• Practical experience handling programs greater than $10M
• Shown management and team leadership abilities
• Cost Management, Change Management, Risk Management experience
• Supply Chain Management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills at both technical and executive level
• Familiarity with Mining, other Natural Resources or Industrial business desirable

Proficient Spanish, both written and spoken, is considered an asset

• Scrum Master certification (preferred)
• Agile Certified Practitioner (preferred)
• PMP certification (preferred)
