Robert Half is seeking an Accounting Clerk for a company in the Food & Food Processing industry, whose responsibility will be to support the needs of a department. The Accounting Clerk position will require matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, process daily invoices/credit, and help with collection of past due balance
- Arrange documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
- Submit financial figures to journals and ledgers
- Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a number of sources
- Standard accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
- Mend discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
- Help Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
Job Requirements:
- Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized
- Excellent data entry skills
- Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
- Accounting Principles experience desired
- Microsoft Excel experience preferred
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft SharePoint experience
- Knowledge of Perform Data Entry
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
