Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Cage Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing of the drop and count team; verifying, documenting, removing and reconciling counts/assets and monitoring the day-to- day activities of the count team. Ensures adherence to the Companys policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadians learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Provides direction and leadership to Count Department personnel
- Supervise and monitor Count operations and actives
- Prepares count room drop boxes, cash cassettes and d rop carts
- Verifies Count transactions and instructs Count team members
- Verifies, document and reconcile cash and cash equivalents; prepare revenue reports
- Responds to, resolves or escalates count issues
- Performs regular preventative maintenance on count equipment
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Monitors and reports all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities
- Communicates effecti vely with all appropriate operational departments
- Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
- High Sch ool diploma; Post-secondary education or a suitable combination of education and experience an asset
- 1 + years of experience in a leadership role/people management experience in casino/ hospitality industry is preferred
- Large cas h handling experience
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, multi-tasking and prioritization skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- A strong mathematical aptitude, detail oriented and familiarity with a high-volume, fast pac ed, shift-work environment
- Strong working knowledge of computer software, including MS Office and the ability to learn new software and systems
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- S trong verbal and written communication and time management skills; proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to succeed
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License

- Back office environment, standing or sitting for long periods of time, non-traditional work hours
