TheLogistics Coordinator uses analytical methods and optimization tools to understand, predict, report and / or control Logistics processes, costs, and service. They are also responsible for the Transportation Management System (TMS) data integrity, data mining, and analytics. They will be the liaison between the Transportation Carriers, 3rd party Managed Transportation provider, facilities, and Leadership teams. The Logistics Coordinator will also manage the processes and interactions with Brokers, Forwarders, and other agencies. Essential Functions ? Develop analytical solutions for data discovery and exploration leading to improvements in Transportation lead-time, cost, and service. ? Build advanced analytics models (including predictive, prescriptive, and statistical) to solve complex Transportation and Distribution challenges. ? Identify operational processes improvements, recommend solutions, and implement changes to improve performance. ? Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities and execute plans to improve cost and / or service performance. ? Leverage TMS (Transportation Management System) and other systems to performs data mining, modeling, analytics, and predictive modeling. ? Support the business through ad-hoc queries, reporting, and modeling of Transportation and Freight scenarios. ? Provide analytical support on import / export Freight Classification, Harmonization Coding, NAFTA certificates of origin and C-TPAT management compliance.
