Your future role on our team

By joining our Structural Engineering team, you’ll be requiredto work with multidisciplinary teams on one or more projects, carrying out consulting engineering tasks such as design studies and preliminary and detailed engineering.

You’ll help us prepare engineering documents to design structures for projects in the industrial, mining and metallurgy, energy, petrochemical, environmental, sustainable development and other sectors.

• Design concrete and steel foundations and structures
  
• Coordinate design activities with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, etc.)
  
• Prepare estimates, technical specifications and reports
  
• Help with quality control of the work of technicians and drafters

• Help plan, organize and assess work
  
• Help monitor site work, as required
  
• Assist with site inspections and surveys
  
• Perform other technical functions to support project delivery

• Apply the firm’s health and safety policy and take the necessary preventive or corrective measures to perform the work safely; become familiar with the firm’s prevention program; and apply specific job directives

Summary of certifications and job requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  
• Knowledge of structural analysis software
  
• Available to travel occasionally to client sites and offices
  
• Asset: experience in finite element calculations
  
• Asset: dynamic structural analysis
  
• Asset: hold the ASP Construction card for health and general safety on construction sites; BBA can assist you in obtaining this card
  
• Asset: bilingual (English and French)
