Job description

Description : Role :

  • Primary duty for the role will be constructing and managing the master schedule for a project
  • Gathering the requirements and establishing the roles / templates / process for the program
  • ID and manage program deficiencies
  • Determine KPIs for reporting and tracking
  • Working with a project team of 3-10 : working with team leads from various departments and high level users
  • Using an agile methodology for the project

Must haves :

  • Need to have 2+ years experience constructing and managing a master schedule at a program level (open to more junior candidates as long as high level and skills are there)
  • Experience with PWA Officer 365
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities
  • Assets :

  • PMP designation
  • Previous experience in the insurance industry working on projects
  • Agile certification or previous experience a strong asset
  • Other notes and Timeline :

  • Hiring manager will be reviewing candidates January 28th / 29th and booking interviews
  • Role is 6 month term, project is expected to be completed after 6 months but potential to extend on a new project if right fit
  • Role is onsite at CityPlace location – NO option to work remotely
  • RESPONSIBILITIES COULD INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :

  • Manage the project during the initiation, design, development, implementation, and operations start-up by ensuring that resources are made available and that the project is developed and is fully operational within previously agreed time, cost and performance parameters.
  • Formulate statements of problems; establishes procedures for the development and implementation of significant, new or modified project elements to solve these problems, and obtains approval thereof.
  • Define and document the objectives for the project; determine budgetary requirements, the composition, roles and responsibilities and terms of reference for the project team.
  • Report progress of the project on an ongoing basis and at scheduled points in the life cycle.
  • Meet stakeholders and other project managers and state problems in a form capable of being solved.
  • Prepare plans, charts, tables and diagrams to assist in analyzing or displaying problems; work with a variety of project management tools.
  • Ensure all deliverables and milestones are completed as planned.
  • Manage Project Change Requests effectively through the approved Change Management process
  • Develop and support project baseline schedules.
  • Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures.
  • Produce appropriate reports and identify scheduling and / or dependency issues.
  • Conduct and provide critical path analysis.
  • Assist in Schedule Co-ordination efforts with internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Project sign-off.
