Manager of Engineering Services

(Salary Range $140,600 - $161,400 per year)

Make a lasting impact and join the City’s management team as the Manager of Engineering Services.

In this role, you will provide professional engineering leadership for the Engineering Division and support the Director of Infrastructure Services in fulfilling statutory, operational, and strategic responsibilities under the Community Charter, Local Government Act, and Professional Governance Act.

The Manager is accountable for the safe, compliant, and effective planning, delivery, and operation of municipal engineering infrastructure, while exercising responsible charge consistent with Engineers and Geoscientists BC requirements. This position operates within the governance, delegation, and accountability framework established by the Director of Infrastructure Services and contributes directly to Council priorities, organizational resilience, and long-term community well-being.

A strategic thinker and seasoned communicator, you understand the value of relationships and are able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, developers, and government authorities. You have considerable knowledge related to the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of municipal infrastructure and delivery of services. Ideally, you hold a degree in Civil Engineering, are eligible for membership in APEGBC and have 10+ years of municipal engineering management experience. Advanced interpersonal and negotiation skills, the ability to foster a team environment, and exceptional project management skills are essential.
