The opportunity

The Retirement Investment Platform Analyst will be a key member of the Retirement Investment Product team primarily supporting the Canada Retirement business.

The Retirement Investment Product team is responsible for ongoing development and maintenance of Manulife’s Group Retirement investment line up.

The successful candidate will lead cross functional investment line up initiatives (new funds additions, fund rationalizations, product changes etc.

They will also respond to the needs of large pension clients, interact with various internal distribution organizations, and provide subject matter expertise when needed.

This role integral to the success of the team and the organization. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Canada Retirement Investment Product.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional implementation process for new investment additions and rationalizations

Provide analysis required for fund launches, mergers, and closures using industry tools and databases and collaborate across business and functional teams at all levels to support the success of the retirement platform ie.

Legal, Compliance, Operations, Tax

Work with Distribution partners to understand the needs of Manulife’s group retirement customers

Respond to inquiries regarding Manulife’s retirement investment platforms

Perform research and analysis on current investment line up as well as competitors on an ongoing basis to help maintain Manulife’s leadership position in the marketplace

Develop new ideas and provide data to support investment related opportunities

Work on ad-hoc projects and reporting as required

What we are looking for

Minimum 5 years of relevant financial services experience preferably with DC and / or DB retirement experience

Completion of CFA Level 1 and progress towards or completion of CFA

Bachelor's degree required

Knowledge of the Canadian retirement marketplace and industry practices

Understanding of current and emerging trends in retirement

Familiarity with industry analysis tools such as Morningstar Direct

Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and Morningstar Direct

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between

$70,350.00 CAD - $117,250.00 CAD
