RN & LPN Overflow & Med-Surg

The Role : As an RN or LPN in the Overflow & Med-Surg Unit, you will provide essential patient care in a fast-paced and high-demand environment. You will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, administering treatments, monitoring vital signs, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality care during overflow situations.

Responsibilities :

Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to develop and implement appropriate care plans.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient responses and effectiveness.

Monitor vital signs and patient data, documenting and reporting any changes in condition to the healthcare team.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patient care plans are updated and adjusted for overflow periods.

Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding treatment options and discharge instructions.

Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring patient safety.

Requirements :

For RN Position : Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with a current, unrestricted RN license.

For LPN Position : Diploma in Practical Nursing with a current, unrestricted LPN license.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a Med-Surg or related healthcare setting in Canada.

BLS certification (Basic Life Support).

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.

Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
