Position Overview :
The Recovery Equipment Operator will work as part of a team to provide superior service and stakeholder satisfaction through responsibility for the safe and efficient operation and preservation of equipment utilized for the purpose of tasks related to Glycol Recovery Vehicles and processing, while ensuring the well-being of self and all internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to) :
To professionally operate and maintain the company’s Glycol Recovery Vehicles and other associated equipment within close proximity to aircraft, airfield personnel and equipmentTo work cooperatively with all other staff involved in the completion of assigned duties and to maintain communications between other employees and shifts about current conditions of machinesTo work cooperatively with airport authority and outside contractor(s) while representing yourself in the best image for the companyTo perform daily vehicle walk-around inspections utilizing appropriate checklistsTo perform and record light maintenance tasks on Vehicles and Equipment, and immediately report any repair requirementsRequired Skills and Experience :
Basic knowledge of aircraft and how they performAbility to work independently showing good judgementBasic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word and Excel)Ability to work independently showing good judgementAbility to read, write, speak and communicate effectivelyAbility to interpret documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsAbility to safely operate a motorized vehicle in inclement weatherAbility to maintain a positive and good-natured attitudeAbility to remain calm and perform under pressure and within fixed time constraintsA valid driver’s license is required for this positionWork Environment :
The Recovery Equipment Operator will regularly be exposed to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions, wet and / or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and may be excessive at time. There will be times when they will be required to work outside of their normal work schedule, so that we may meet the needs of our customers and / or operational requirements.Physical Demands :
It is expected that the candidate be physically fit and able to perform all operational requirementsAbility to lift, push, and pull objects up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally and twenty (20) pounds regularlyMust have the ability to climb 15-foot heights for workPosition involves standing or sitting for extended periods of time as well as bending, kneeling, lifting, climbing, using hands to control tools and feel objects, reaching with hands and armsAbility to work in a confined space for extended periods of timeWork outdoors for long periods when necessaryWearing of personal protective equipment when required and full mobility allowing for freedom of movement in high-risk environmentMust be able to speak clearly and hear efficientlySpecific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focusDrive company vehicle off airport property, to pickup spares parts and supplies as directed by management
