The Opportunity :
Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the Senior Manager, Sales Planning develops and leads strategic sales plans and activities to help set and achieve business goals. Responsibilities in this role include promotional / flyer planning, merchandising planning and financials, and vendor sales planning for the business. This role analyzes market trends and competitor activity, utilizing data to increase revenue, profitability, as well as to add value through a fact-based approach to promotional planning. This role leads the sales planning team and collaborates with various internal departments to turn data into information, sales stories, and insights to improve decision making and drive consistent profitable growth.
Responsibilities :
Determines product and pricing mix for weekly flyer.
Utilizes flyer forecasts and make assumptions of non-flyer and email forecasts to understand Sales, Margin and Subsidy spend for week, month, and year.
Plans product sales by vendor for a specified time and communicate total sales plan with vendor to include types of promotions and sales forecasts at each promotion and placement on flyer.
