Overview
Provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring safety and well-being. Utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making; teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and families. Lead an integrated, holistic approach to patient care and health promotion.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high‑quality patient and family‑centered care reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
- Support integrated care in the Obstetrics / Acute Care unit.
- Advocate for patients and families, and document care accurately.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care plans.
- Adhere to all AHS policies, procedures, and regulations.

Completion of an accredited nursing education program.Active or eligible registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS‑HCP).If not practicing as an RN in the last 5 years, completion of CRNA Medication Management – Chapters 1‑4 and NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification.1‑year experience in labor, delivery, or postpartum care within the last 5 years (preferred).Current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation (preferred).Experience and training in Fetal Health Surveillance and L&D / postpartum internal education programs (preferred).Benefits
