OVERVIEW :
Working as a Full-time Traffic Manager, you will manage the Traffic department responsible for monitoring the daily operations of the Transportation department. You will provide supervision and leadership to a team of employees, overseeing the department's overall function, including setting short-term and long-term goals related to quality, productivity, and time management. RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Providing leadership, development, and supervision of team members
- Coordinating employees, including scheduling, hiring, and exits
- Ensuring short-term and long-term goals are met
- Training and developing employees
- Communicating with employees and branches
- Monitoring the effective and efficient daily operations of the Traffic department
- Communicating internally and externally by phone and email
- Maintaining files, documents, paperwork, and data entry
- Managing budgets and performance metrics
- Complying with health, safety, and sustainability rules and expectations
- Participating in activities and programs that support health, safety, and sustainability objectives
- Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings
- Operating a Fastenal vehicle and running truck routes, Non-CDL and / or CDL, as needed
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located, including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program, and meet our driving record requirementsAt least 2 years of industry-related management experience or 1 year of Fastenal management experienceProficient written and oral communication skillsStrong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilitiesStrong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skillsAbility to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentHighly motivated, self-directed, and customer service-orientedStrong math aptitude, attention to detail, and sense of urgencyWillingness to work a flexible schedule and extra time as neededWillingness to travel as neededDemonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamworkAbility to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages weighing 25lbs-50lbs, up to 100lbsPass the required drug screening (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam)Complete DOT drug and alcohol screens, road test, employment verification, and background check successfullyPREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
Possess or be in the process of obtaining a Commercial Driver's LicensePrior experience in route management and logisticsKnowledge of CSA compliance and DOT regulationsABOUT US :
