CNC Machinist / Machine Operator - Afternoon Shift

Due to an increase in Production David W. Wilson Manufacturing Ltd. requires General Machinists and / or CNC machine operators for a custom / production machine shop.

Position Description

• Duties include operation of a variety of CNC controlled equipment including vertical and or horizontal machine centers as well as manual power tools.
• Ability to understand and operate numerically controlled machines.
• Ability to perform precision machining operations.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and execute the final product as required then verify dimensions of part machined using precise measuring instruments (micrometer, caliper, bore gauge).
• Full inspection and deburring of completed parts.
• Inspect raw materials and finished product to meet specification.
• Use of power hand tools (drill press, angle grinder, belt sander).
• Produce precision machined parts to specified tolerances.
• Can operate machine shop power tools including manual equipment.
• Capable of following verbal and written instructions.
• Afternoon shift hours are 4 : 15pm - 2 : 15am Monday to Thursday (38 hour work week).

Qualifications

Able to use measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers and bore gauges.
