SALARY : $40.96 / hour

45.63 / hour after successfully completing training.

SHIFTS : 8 hour Day shifts – Maintenance (Monday – Friday). Occasional Shift Engineer Relief.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate ammonia, CO2, Compressed air, Cogeneration, Boiler and Steam systems in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Effectively Operating HVAC / chiller unit for proper ventilation and cooling
  • Performing preventive maintenance routine and repair completions.
  • Maintenance documentation updates.
  • Respect of plant policy (Safety, Environment, Quality, Operations)
  • Other duties as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A Valid 2nd class Engineering certificate a minimum
  • Minimum 3 years Powerhouse Engineer experience - manufacturing experience preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with Hydraulic or Pneumatic equipment an asset
  • Good understanding of PLC troubleshooting and programming
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable with a face-paced environment
  • Self-starter with an ability to work with limited supervision
  • Excellent sense of urgency, work ethic and attendance record
